Fondazione Prada
Collection & Exhibition Explorer
A digital companion for the Fondazione Prada's Milan venue, commissioned to support exhibition discovery and visitor engagement.
Designed and developed for the Foundation Curator's office during an academic exchange in Milan
Overview
The Fondazione Prada occupies a 19,000 m² compound at Largo Isarco in Milan's southern industrial district: seven historic buildings and three new structures designed by OMA / Rem Koolhaas. The architecture is a defining feature of the institution, but it also creates a real navigation problem. The venue is large, spatially varied, and the programming is dense. Visitors need a way to understand what's on, where it is, and how to get there.
This is a web-based collection and exhibition explorer built to address that. It lets visitors browse current and upcoming exhibitions, explore the venue's distinct spaces (Podium, Torre, Cisterna, Osservatorio, Haunted House, Cinema Godard, Bar Luce), and plan their visit with practical info. The interface is built for mobile, intended to be useful on-site as people move through the campus.
The project was commissioned through the Foundation Curator's office during a semester at Bocconi University in Milan. The goal was to make the Foundation's programming more accessible to a broader audience, particularly first-time visitors navigating the space on their own.
